The stamp motif of this special postage stamp shows a Cupid running on the globe with a postman's pouch, with a letter in his left hand and a bow in his right hand. By order of the Council of Ministers of 18 December 1951, the Association of Austrian Philatelic Associations and the "First Austrian Workers Stamp Collector Association", the award of this stamp of 35 groschen was dedicated to the promotion of the Austrian stamp at home and abroad. Thus she was as it were an international ambassador of the Austrian postal service and honored the holiday of philatelists by a peoples greeting from Austria. The design for the brand motif is by Professor Viktor Th. Slama and engraving by Ing. Friedrich Teubel.
