With a view to the 50th anniversary, the public should be made more aware of the young and recent history and the federal structure of the Federal Republic of Germany. Located between the State Theater and the New Palace, the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg was festively inaugurated on June 5 and 6, 1961. The winner of the architectural competition was Kurt Viertel from Mainz. The wood-paneled, windowless plenary hall is located in the center of the upper floor.
