The history of radiology dates back to the last century when, on November 8, 1895, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered X-rays, which he described as X-rays. The possibilities for medical use have been continuously improved and expanded over the following decades. The high-tech computed tomography and the use in the radiation therapy for the fight against cancer are only examples. For the exchange of experience and information, the "European Congress for Radiology" took place in 1991 in the Vienna Congress Center. With this event, a European supplement to the "Northern European Radiology Congress" (RSNA) was created, which is to teach in accordance with the guidelines of the RSNA, Diagnostics, Therapy, Nuclear Medicine and Medical Physics under special European aspects.
