From 16 to 21 September 1979, the XVI. World Road Congress of the "Permanent International Association of Road Congresses" (A.I.P.C.R.). The Vienna Hofburg was chosen as the congress venue. The A.I.P.C.R. is the oldest worldwide organization dealing with road construction and road traffic, founded in 1909. It has set itself the goal in its statute of forming a central place for the world, where representatives of the states, other local authorities, the economy and science can discuss issues of the road and the road. The symbol of the congress can be seen in the foreground of the brand image. This emblem of the XVI. World Road Congress is a symbol of a mountain and a valley and at the same time for the portal of a road tunnel.
