10 years manned space flight USSR GDR The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic publishes three multicolored postage stamps "10 years manned space flight USSR - GDR". Special cancellation from 21 June to 20 August 1988 10th anniversary of the manned long-range flight USSR - GDR From 26 August to 3 September 1978 was the highlight of GDR participation in the exploration and exploitation of cosmic space within the framework of the program Intercosmos socialist Countries held the first joint manned space flight USSR GDR. 10 Pfennig value: multichannel spectrometer MKS-M The device was developed after agreement of the scientific-technical task with specialists of the USSR as contribution of the academy of the sciences of the GDR to the Interkosmos program of socialist countries. In the remote sensing of the earth, the device is used both for measuring the solar radiation reflected by natural objects on the earth's surface (biospektrometer, left) and the scattered radiation (atmospheric spectrometer, right) generated in air molecules and aerosols in the atmosphere. This measurement method makes it possible to "correct" interfering influences on remote sensing data by means of mathematical methods. Furthermore, the assignment of MKS-M measured data to MKF-6 recordings significantly increases their information value. The device has a sighting device and a Pentacon B-camera B 200 for the photographic image of the areas to be examined. The digital measurement data is stored on a magnetic tape cassette. After trials of the MKS prototypes on the Interkosmos IK-20 and IK-21 satellites in 1979 and 1981 respectively, the MKS-M complex, which was further developed for manned use, was successfully deployed at Salut 7 orbital station from April 1983 onwards. In June 1986, the equipment complex with the transport spacecraft Soyuz T-15 was transferred from there to the station Mir. Another device of this type will be part of the remote sensing module, which is scheduled to launch at Mir Station in 1988. The graph drawn in the illustration shows its characteristic course over forest, fields and water surfaces.
