The exterior fronts are made of natural concrete in field widths of 16 meters and are interrupted by vertical window bands made of tinted thermo glass and brown anodized aluminum frames and panels. The base is covered with brown ceramic tiles. The hall is equipped with three overhead cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 20 t and a railway connection. It has an air-conditioned ventilation system. In the floor are electrical energy, telephone, compressed air, water, sewage and heat pipes installed to supply the exhibition stands. The net exhibition space is 9,300 square meters. For the spring trade fair in Leipzig in 1987, the industry complex Machine Tools and Tools will exhibit here. The hall was built by the construction and assembly combine South, as the main contractor was the foreign trade operation Invest-Commerz used.
