The issue, whose design templates were paintings by important visual artists of the GDR, goes into this complicated dialectic. The value of 10 Pfennig shows Willi Sitte's picture "Ernst Thälmann". It insistently refers to the historical dimension of the SED policy in the gradual realization of the historical mission of the working class. Despite persecution, brutal terror and shameless demagogy, the party - here symbolized by Ernst Thälmann - could not be broken. In a specific way, this image proves that the veracity of Marxism-Leninism-the scientific foundation of our strategy and tactics-rests on its truthfulness.
