Invincible Vietnam In support of the people of Vietnam, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued a special postage stamp with surcharge. The sums collected will be made available to the Solidarity Committee of the GDR. Invincible Vietnam (1979 edition) The mother / child motif with the protective weapon of the Vietnamese People's Army soldier warns again to strengthen the solidarity with this heroic people politically, morally and materially. It symbolizes the length of the struggle and the weight of the burden of the problems to be solved in this Southeast Asian country and at the same time the tradition of our solidarity. The ideals of his ancestors still live to this day from the long and varied history of the Vietnamese people: "There is nothing more precious than independence and freedom" and "rather die than lose the fatherland and be enslaved". They express the stubbornness of a people who demanded and hardened constant struggles against oppression, exploitation and foreign domination. It fought against the conquest plans of several Chinese dynasties and ultimately bore the just victory. It fought against the colonial power of French imperialism, against Japanese militarists and for a decade against the strongest and most modern military power of imperialism, the American aggression army. In the 30-year history of the GDR, solidarity with the people of Vietnam occupies a significant place. Under the banner of the long struggle of this heroic people, with the growing consciousness of the people of our socialist state, the idea of proletarian internationalism unfolded into a tremendous force and became a matter of the hearts of all citizens of the GDR's broad solidarity movement in the national liberation movement of the peoples enjoys high respect. This power and the achievements of the other socialist countries flow into the insurmountable stream of anti-imperialist solidarity, which emanates primarily from the Soviet Union. The Vietnamese people need our class solidarity more than ever because it is still struggling with the burden of the legacy of colonialism, neo-colonialism and systematic war of destruction. For our brother people, who despite everything struggles unwaveringly for the strengthening of socialism and the preservation of peace in Southeast Asia, it is downright an existential question in this extremely difficult situation effective help for the further class struggle in this area of the socialist countries. It is about the consequences of the Polyp Pot clique led Grenzprovokationen, caused by the aggression of the Beijing Great Power chauvinists immense damage and resulting from the hitherto not relaxed, so continue threatening situation resulting additional burden on the economy of the SRV overcome. This can not be achieved by the industrious and heroic fighting people of Vietnam on their own. For about thirty years, the Vietnamese people have fought bitterly against their oppressors and enemies. In spite of all the sacrifices and privations, it has planted rice, born and triumphed. The International Consultation of the Communist and Workers' Parties in Moscow in 1969 enriched Marxism-Leninism with a significant one from an analysis of the Soviet Union's many-sided assistance to Vietnam, the other socialist countries, and the growing manifestations of international solidarity in the world filled with fighting spirit Teaching for the present: "A people that consistently leads the fight against imperialism, for freedom and independence and has the Soviet Union, all socialist countries and peace forces all over the world at its side, is invincible". This doctrine was excellently confirmed by the 1975 victory of the Vietnamese people against US imperialism and its puppets, as well as the victorious repression of the aggression of the Beijing hegemonists. This doctrine applies equally to the struggle against imperialism and to the struggle against enemies allied with imperialism. Our solidarity with invincible Vietnam!
