Leipzig Spring Fair At the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1976, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued two multi-colored special postage stamps. 25 Pfennig Value: Atlantic Supertrawler The Atlantic Supertrawler is a semi-automated factory trawler for catching, processing and freezing fish. It is used worldwide - preferably in a flotilla bandage with refrigerated transport and supply vessels - and can refine fish, fillet or fish meal and fish oil daily up to about 120 t of fish. The 43 m long fishing deck is designed for alternating fishing with two nets. As the main product of GDR shipbuilding, this type of ship developed in close socialist collaboration with the USSR has been produced in large series since 1972 by VEB Volkswerft Stralsund. Soviet deep-sea fishermen achieved an annual catch of more than 10,000 t with the "Atlantic Supertrawler". Length: 102.00 m Width: 15.20 m Power: 2.850 kW (3880 hp) Speed: 14.6 kts
