Leipzig Spring Fair 1975 At the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1975, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued two multicolored special postage stamps. 25-pfennig value: dry-process SKET cement plants Dry-process cement plants from VEB Zementanlagenbau Dresden, an operation of the VEB Schwermaschinenbau-Kombinat Ernst Thälmann Magdeburg, comply with the latest scientific and technical findings and have proven themselves internationally. The process makes it possible to process raw materials with an increased content of alkalis and chlorides without malfunctions. The technological equipment for the processing, crushing and conveying process has been further developed on the basis of many years of experience in design, production and operation. Large-scale plants are erected using the dry process with throughputs of up to 2,000 tons of clinker per day. Solid state clinker burning according to the Dessau principle and the equipment upstream and downstream of the clinker burning process have proven to be effective in practice as an effective and reliable cement production system. The highly productive large plants are controlled by central control rooms. The degree of automation could be further increased by the use of process computers in combination with rapid analysis devices. Cement plants in Bernburg and Karsdorf (GDR), Nowiny and Malogoszcz (People's Republic of Poland) have so far been built by the VEB Zementanlagenbau Dessau after the dry process. Further large-scale plants are currently being set up. For the first time in the RGW area with the commissioning of the cement plant in Bernburg in 1969, the dry process was applied in a large-scale plant.
