Leipzig Autumn Fair 1974 At the Leipzig Autumn Fair in 1974, the Ministry of Postal and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues two multicolored postage stamps. Leipzig Autumn Fair 1974 10 Pfennig value: railway crane EDK 2000 The diesel-electric railway crane EDK 2000 has a maximum load capacity of 250 Mp. It is the largest railway crane of a proven type series of VEB SM Kirow in Leipzig, in 18 countries, including RGW countries, is exported. The EDK 200O was developed in the context of socialist economic integration with the participation of Soviet specialists and is the result of cooperation within the countries of the CMEA. The crane has proved its worth in the USSR, the most important export partner of the Kirov factory. As a subject on the 10 Pfennig value the Kranzug EDK 2000 is shown consisting of the crane and the Gegenlastwagen, which serves at the same time the journeys in the train formation with maximally 100 km / h as Auslegerablagewagen. Both vehicles are equipped with independently operating power centers, so that in addition to the self-propulsion of both vehicles and full crane operation by means of own power, either from the crane or from the counter-lorry, is guaranteed. The crane offers a variety of applications in disaster situations, in the removal of train racks, on large construction sites and complicated heavy-load work in industrial, transport and shipyard facilities. It is designed so that it can be upgraded with its own power, without the use of external hoists, in less than an hour and is ready for use. The crane is equipped with various limit switches and fuses, so that increased accident protection is given. For example, a weighing device has been installed that allows you to instantly read the size of the load on the main or auxiliary lift. A load safety device protects the crane from overloading and thus from tipping over. The crane centers of the crane train can deliver emergency power for construction site lighting or for the operation of auxiliary equipment. In addition, the crane can be operated with external power, so that an electrical, almost noiseless, environmentally friendly operation is possible.
