Special postage stamp booklet for the international rose exhibition of the GDR 1972 For the international rose exhibition of the GDR 1972 the Ministry for post office and telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues a special postage stamp book with three multicolored special postage stamps (2nd special edition of the Michel number 1764, 1767, 1768 13. June 1972 in smaller format). The stamps and the envelope show different types of roses. This largest event of its kind in the GDR gains particular importance by the demonstration of numerous new varieties of field roses and roses under glass and plastic. The intensive and successful breeding work of the last years in our republic is the reason to publish a stamp series for the International Rose Exhibition 1972, which presents six of the best rose varieties in the GDR. 25 Pfennig value: lzetka Köpenicker summer "lzetka Köpenicker summer" is a new breed of the horticulture section of the Humboldt University of Berlin, Department of Ornamental Plant Production, Berlin-Köpenick. This Floribundarose has a warm yellow color and represents a valuable addition to the Beetrosensortimentes in the yellow color range. Their height is 70 to 90 cm.
