Was in the previous series of stamp series "Heraldry Austria" in the arms "zoomed" to make unknown details visible, so the present series "Heraldry Austria II" coat of arms figures of the federal states and provincial capitals untrimmed and in full. However, animals and symbols are taken out of the shields and are now free on the respective basic colors of their original coat of arms fields. The coat of arms figures from the historical representations on the strong color surfaces receive a new, unusually placative aesthetics. This expressiveness brings the figures on the small stamp format to advantage. The figure and the color indicate the recognizability of the respective nominal value.
