Although it is sometimes annoying to be approached for donations, it is not difficult to open the Börsel when the "Red Noses Clown Doctors" ask for support. It is certainly rewarding to give courage to seriously ill children and to convey strength and joie de vivre, more so than through the chairman of this great organization, Prof Dr Max Friedrich, Head of Child Neuropsychiatry at the AKH in Vienna and Managing Director Monica Culen is secured. Artists with social commitment and personal strength receive a first class special education and go into teams, each a clown woman and a clown man, disguised as a "doctor", equipped with funny props, on a "visit" to bring joy, to make pain and an acceleration of the Effect healing process. The magazine "Rote Nasen news", which can be ordered for free at www.rotenasen.at, provides information about the clowns, achievements, activities, workshops, children's drawings and interviews with hospital staff. In 2001 alone, 50,000 children were taken to bed in 74 hospital wards in Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, Styria, Carinthia and Tyrol. Senior care, co-operations and information programs are further altivities. So that you can help: BLZ 60000, PSKto 909 909 00.
