The series "Classic Trademarks" undoubtedly enjoys great popularity among collectors; The new € 0.55 value "Kleinbahn" continues the nostalgic series in an attractive way. The history of the company: The company "Kleinbahn, mechanical workshop - toy manufacturing Ing. Erich Klein" is an Austrian manufacturer of model trains of nominal size H0. Founded in 1947, the Währinger Gürtel in Vienna originally produced only wooden ships and aircraft, but a short time later the legendary model railroads also enriched the assortment. From 1952 the company was called "Gebrüder Klein OHG", in 1955 they moved to Vienna-Atzgersdorf for reasons of space. At the time, however, the product range was primarily geared to the Austrian market, with models from ÖBB hardly available from the dominant German providers. The company's philosophy of making model railways affordable for everyone through cost-effective production turned out to be successful: the small, intriguing trains quickly became so popular that the name "Kleinbahn" became a common name for model trains in size H0 in Austria has been. In 1979 the "Gebrüder Klein OHG" was dissolved and split up and since 1984 two model railroaders have been based at the old location: Erich Klein led the company "Kleinbahn, mechanical workshop - toy manufacturing Ing. Erich Klein" with the successful market orientation of cost-effective products ; Meanwhile, the company was taken over by his daughter and continued. Oskar Klein senior, meanwhile, named his company "Klein Modellbahn GesmbH". After the death of the senior since 1987, his son Oskar Klein headed the company with a focus on higher quality, model-faithful products. However, the company ceased production after financial difficulties at the end of July 2008, but the remaining stocks are still sold. On a linear scale, narrow gauge models have traditionally been greatly shortened. For example, for passenger coaches with an original length of 26.4 meters, the scale is 1:13 instead of the usual 1:87 scale. The models are made in a simple but very robust design; the addressed customer groups are therefore predominantly hobby newcomers and cost-conscious model railroaders. The sought-after collector's items are the so-called "Blue Lightning", an Austrian diesel railcar set from the 1950s, and a model of the ÖBB 12 express train steam locomotive produced in the sixties. The attractive motif on the special stamp shows a picture from the main catalog 1958/59 ,
