Every year on December 25, Christians around the world celebrate Christmas, the feast of the birth of Jesus Christ. One wishes for Christmas blessings and blessings and writes relatives and friends Christmas greetings. Many people frank their mail with Christmas stamps to do good things. The Christmas stamps are issued in favor of the Federal Association of the Free Welfare e.V. Its affiliated organizations help wherever government aid is not enough. The 2007 Christmas stamps show two scenes from the Christmas story. The postage stamp with the motif "The Adoration of the Magi" (value: 45 + 20 cents) shows the three wise men from the East, holding gold, frankincense and myrrh as gifts for the newborn Savior. Above them shines the star of Bethlehem. The evangelist Matthew tells how the wise men followed the star and thus found the baby Jesus.
