Stecher in recent years six-part Christmas stamps for the Austrian Post; this now, with demidyllic motif "St. Georgenberg-Fiecht ", is number seven and reminds us in a touching way of the extremely popular bishop. Reinhold Stecher once in an interview explained, especially influenced by the experience of the Second Vatican Council. In the same interview, he also mentioned the current social challenges and warned of the "hubris, the loss of the measure, the claw hand, which always attacks even more and everything Looking for happiness in having ". Too reckless today puts achievements at stake and is thus highly endangered. "Monotheism is increasingly becoming money theism and spilling over the world," warned Stecher. Consecrated in 1947, Erin thereafter held various posts as prefect, teacher and pastor before obtaining his doctorate in theology in 1951. In addition, he was from 1965 to 1970 Spiritual in the seminary of the two dioceses Innsbruck and Feldkirch. The solemn appointment to the Bishops followed in December 1980 by Pope John Paul II. At the Austrian Bishops' Conference, Dr. Ing. Here was once - hence the name - the St. George worshiped, later also the Mother of God and from about 1310 then the holy blood relic. While in the Middle Ages the relics of 132 saints were worshiped, the goal of today's pilgrims is the so-called "Painful Mother", a gothic Vesper picture from the early 15th century.
