East of Bischofshofen in a small tributary valley lies Filzmoos, a formerly poor little village, which has today with about 1200 inhabitants by tourism in two seasons and half a million overnight stays annually, the connection to the world has long since found. In the small Gothic Kircherl from 1474 with interesting frescoes (about 1515) there is a redesigned high altar area since 1960. In a hanging glass shrine in front of a glass window with a modern depiction of the Holy Ghost is a clothed, over 90 cm Jesuskind from the 14th Century with a little bell in the right and a globe in the left, surrounded by a radiant wreath to see , According to a legend, devout shepherds would have become aware of this child, who was supposedly standing on a tree-trunk, "through the lovely sound of the little bell in the hand of the Christ-child." They brought the figure to their responsible pastor, who was then in Altenmarkt. The next day, the Christ child was found again on the wooden trunk in Filzmoos, whereupon it was carried to the local church of St. Peter and St. Paul, where it is still to this day. The draft of the stamp is by Christine Buchner, It was stung by Prof. Wolfgang Seidel. Karl Neuhofer from Salzburg has drawn the Filzmooser first day special cancellation: the Filzmooser Kindl, which was also recorded in the municipal coat of arms, the church and as a background the striking bishop's cap.
