The issue of the special stamp is intended to help the many and many years of efforts to make the adult road users aware of the difficulties of children in traffic. It is the continuation of the series of current topics. In an international comparison, the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the states with a relatively high accident risk for children on the road. Certainly, figures in international statistics are certainly not comparable because of the different ways in which road accidents are detected, but also because of the different traffic patterns and traffic density and for other reasons. Fortunately, the number of children injured in road accidents is also falling steadily. But this should not reassure us; every child who falls victim to road traffic is a victim too much! The safety of children in road traffic needs to be improved. Support this concern through your practical actions in everyday life: - Prepare your child even better for the demands of road traffic. - Secure your child in the vehicle and when getting in and out. - Behave as a pedestrian exemplary, even in the absence of your own child. - Be considerate of children when traveling with your vehicle. Always be ready to brake where children are. - Advocate the implementation of traffic-calming measures for the benefit of children in residential areas. These are tasks for all of us; dangerous behavior of children in traffic is not "carelessness" or "disobedience"; Children are often unable to cope with the demands of traffic. Help to improve the situation of children in traffic.
