On a neutral background, the brand shows a green cap, a red and white red ribbon, a so-called "loafer" and the emblems of the two largest Catholic corporation associations in Austria, the MKV and the ÖCV. Characteristic of the "color-bearing" compounds is, as the name implies, the wearing of ribbon and hat. The visor cap got to know the students during the Napoleonic wars. It soon supplanted the hitherto customary two-or three-pointed hat as a headgear and has been common practice since around 1820. Each connection has its own cap color. The green of the cap pictured on the stamp symbolizes the oldest MKV connection, Teutonia Innsbruck. Each compound also has a band in a characteristic color. The depicted red-and-white-red ribbon does not indicate any particular connection, but should characterize the loyalty to Austria and the patriotic sentiment of all connections. The "loafer" is the connecting student form of the walking stick. He does not have a handle at the top but a metal or leg pommel. Guidelines for living in the connections of the MKV and ÖCV are the four principles of Catholicism, friendship, patriotism and study, which are equally juxtaposed.
