The Christmas stamp with the denomination 50 + 25 Pf with a representation of the "Christ Child" is a small section of a large window in the Munich Frauenkirche, which today stands in the middle of the choir end and on which the nave of the church is aligned. It is called "Scharfzandt-Fenster" after his founders, a Munich patrician family. It was designed in 1493 by the important Strasbourg glass painter Peter Hemmel of Andlau. Under rich canopies with lush tracery it contains above the lower lines with the pain man in the middle and the donors to its sides and a veneration of St. Rupertus from top to bottom three scenes of salvation history: Annunciation, Nativity, Presentation in the Temple. The "Christ Child" is taken from the adoration of the child. The child lies, emphasized in the center of this depiction, on the hem of the mantle of the Mother of God spread out over a lawn among flowers, which, together with Joseph and angels, adores him in adoration.
