On 26 May 2007, the German Sports Aid Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary in Berlin and on 4 February 2007, the German national handball team in Cologne won the Handball World Cup. The block issue with four additional stamps from the series "For Sports" honors these two events with corresponding impressions. The four motifs are dedicated to the theme »World Championships in Germany«. The motive "Handball World Cup" appeared already on 2 January 2007, the three motifs "Canoeing World Championship", "Turn World Cup" and "World Cup in Modern Pentathlon" were published on 8 February 2007 - each as a single stamps.
