The motif shows the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. The gatehouse on Unter den Linden was built by C.G. Langhans built. It is crowned by a four-in-hand with the goddess of victory, built by G. Schadow from 1789 to 1794. It was stolen by France in 1807 and brought back seven years later. It was restored in 1958 after being destroyed in World War II.
