The second motif of the series shows the Bleibrunnen or Konventbrunnen of Heiligenkreuz Abbey. In the middle of the so-called fountain house, which used to serve as a washroom for the monks, is the lead made of lead. It is a total of two and a half meters high, its diameter is about ten meters. Also, nothing is known about the genesis of this fountain. Only his Renaissance forms point to a creation from the middle of the 16th century. It was more than a century before the fountain was mentioned in writing for the first time. And this reason is sadder: on the occasion of the Turkish invasion, the well - probably by farmers - had been hacked. But a few years later, the Bleibrunnen was restored and received - with the shell and the cross of copper - its present appearance.
