Z. - Egyptian Museum Berlin Numerous golden signet rings are also part of the jewelery from the pyramid of Queen Amanishakheto. The sealing surface (2.2 x 2.5 cm) of this ring shows the royal couple sitting opposite each other on a wide couch. Both are dressed in the State Regalia, the Queen with a crowned, human-headed scorpion on her head, the King (left) wearing the diadem with two uraes. The queen hands the young heir apparent to the ruler, who receives it and touches it with his hand. Shown is already known from the New Kingdom of Egypt divine birth legend of the king. The heir to the throne, begotten by the king of the god Amun and born by the queen, is handed over to the reigning ruler. This act secures legitimate succession.
