Special cancellation from 20 September to 19 November 1988 500 years Schiffer-Compagnie Stralsund - Captain's pictures 70 Pfennig value: The brig "Brigantina Auguste Mathilde von Stralsund" was built in 1830. The Schlffer-Compagnie zu Stralsund registered her under the number 36. The captain was the Stralsunder 1. C. Grünwaldt, who in 1835 also commissioned the painter Johnsen-Seby Bergen to paint the picture. It should be noted that, unlike most captains, this picture was painted in watercolors. The ship and captains' names on the stamps correspond to the original names of the Captain's pictures.
