For half a century, the union of postal and telegraph employees. Although she looks back on a much longer history, the final founding was only on March 16, 1919, with one of the largest gatherings of the First Republic in the Vienna Circus Busch. According to newspaper reports, 10,000 postal workers participated in this major event. Officially, two unions were set up: the Postal Union representing the interests of all postal workers and the Technical Union representing the interests of telegraph employees. In the First Republic, the main concerns were the reduction of working hours, the improvement of social legislation, the raising of living standards, and the equality of female staff. In May 1945, the merger of unions forcibly dissolved in 1934-1938 became a single union. Intensive cooperation between the union and senior officials has allowed the reconstruction to take place surprisingly quickly. Trade union activity in the Second Republic had fundamentally changed. Even the most difficult problems could usually be solved by negotiation and the economic existence of the personnel not only secured, but constantly improved. The brand image shows a posthorn.
