30 Years of Movement MMM On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the "Fair of the Masters of Tomorrow" movement, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic has published two multicolored special postage stamps. Special cancellation from 3 November 1987 to 2, January 1988 30 years of movement Fair of the Masters of Tomorrow - an expression of the successful youth policy of the German Democratic Republic MMM - this has become a symbol of the initiative, performance and creativity of the youth of our country over the course of 30 years. The results achieved year after year by young workers, cooperative farmers, apprentices, students, young scientists, members of the security and security organs and pupils in the movement of the scientific and technical creativity of youth are proof of this. Already the first fair of the masters of tomorrow, which took place from 16 to 26 October 1958 in Leipzig with its 2131 performances, represented by 312 collectives and 101 solo exhibitors, met with lively interest. Many innovations, devices for small mechanization, teaching and visual aids as well as models for the polytechnical instruction and the vocational training defined the picture of the former exhibition. In the year 1959 already twelve district fairs were carried out before the 2nd fair of the masters of tomorrow. From the beginning, the MMM movement helps to develop those characteristics and attitudes among the adolescents essential to the mastery of the scientific-technological revolution, such as creativity, willingness to learn, perseverance and the courage to take risks. In the more than 30 years of its history, the MMM movement has become the most important economic initiative of the Free German Youth. Today it is an indispensable factor in the development of the GDR economy. Whatever the young workers, FDJ collectives, students and students always puzzle and tinker, it creates time, material and cost-saving new processes, equipment and facilities that make economic profits possible. In the eighties, the movement MMM took the most successful development. It developed violently as a mass movement of puzzle, innovator, rationalization and invention. Every year, the number of young people involved and the economic effect of the tasks solved increased. In 1984, for the first time, more than half of the young people in the GDR participated in the solution of MMM tasks. The number of solved tasks has more than doubled since 1980. Especially with the XI. FDJ Youth Researchers' Collective, which today deals with almost 6,000 demanding scientific and technological tasks, and the youth brigades accomplish peak performance at peak times. The 30th Central Fair of the Masters of Tomorrow and the 10th Central Performance Show of Students and Young Scientists account for how the members of the FDJ and many other young people in the "FDJ Order XI SED Party Congress" the reputation of the XI. Party Congress of the SED to the youth to make the mastery of the scientific-technical revolution to the cause of the entire younger generation, put into action. The 1987 Teaching and Performance show will feature the best of the more than 243,000 solutions created over the past year by more than 1.24 million young innovators, rationalizers and inventors, along with 400,000 older workers. The focus will be on the development of the qualitative factors of comprehensive intensification, ensuring scientific lead-time, and rapidly increasing labor productivity, while increasing the quality of products and reducing costs. Particular attention is paid to the development and application of key technologies, particularly in the FDJ initiatives "Microelectronics", "Industrial Robots" and "Scientific Instrumentation".
