Block 1 Mark + 10 Pfennig: Operation of the commercial flight The operation of a commercial flight as the largest operation in the INTERFLUG is incumbent to perform the scheduled and charter traffic for passengers, goods and mail. With an IL-62 four-lane IL-62 (158 seats, 850 km / h) twin-engine short-range and medium-haul TU-134 (72 seats, 850 km / h) and IL-18 medium-range PTL (100 seats, 650 km / h) 49 cities and 36 countries on four continents are served on a route network of 123,000 km. In 1979 INTERFLUG carried over 1.25 million passengers. The longest routes of INTERFLUG are Berlin-Maputo with 11,500 km, Berlin-Hanoi with 10,300 km and Berlin-Havana with 8,700 km. Air transport agreements with 46 states and 180 agreements with airlines and agencies connect INTERFLUG to the World Air Transport Network. The stamp in the block depicts an IL-62 aircraft in front of a globe. The block inscription indicates the airmail exhibition AEROSOZPHILEX in August 1980 in Berlin.
