The motif of this third special postage stamp shows the hydroelectric power station in Zemmtal. Already after the end of the First World War the Zemmtal was the subject of hydropower planning. If originally 360 megawatts of factory output were sufficient, it was later decided to set the output at 515.5 megawatts. The sheet wall of the Zemmkraftwerk is 131 meters high and forms a storage area of 128 million cubic meters of water. Hydropower storage continues to be the only economic way to quickly adapt power generation to sudden changes in consumption.
