Not only politically, economically and culturally is the Alps-Adriatic Working Community working together - the philatelists of the regions also joined forces in 1995: The ARGE Alpen-Adria-Philatelie celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2015. Stamp collectors from areas in Austria, Italy, Bavaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Switzerland have come together in a non-political cooperation. Among other things, the members organize joint exhibitions which, in particular, are to be given a uniform regulation on competitive exposures through the Labor Convention. Such a competitive stamp show will take place from 18 to 20 September 2015 in Pöllau, Styria; Philatelists from seven countries show their high-quality objects and compete for the Alps-Adriatic Grand Prix. Collectibles are offered for sale, a special post office is set up, and the show is also inviting to exchange. Twenty years ago, the ARGE Alpen-Adria-Philatelie set itself the task of promoting philately and should "intensify philatelic competition in a peaceful and friendly way, in accordance with the individual circumstances of the member states", as stated in the Preamble to the Labor Convention means. The contacts of the philatelists of the individual countries are to be deepened and information about events of interest exchanged, and philanthropic projects to be mutually assisted. In addition, we want to work together to inspire the youth for philately. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its existence, Österreichische Post AG is now dedicating this attractive special stamp to the Alps-Adriatic philately.
