From his father, also a painter, the 1800 born in Kratzau (now Chrastava in northern Bohemia) has taken over the craft. Two of his own paintings were well received at an exhibition in Prague, which in 1819 gave him access to the Prague Academy. Finally, his works fell to a group of nobles, among whom was also Prince Metternich, who enabled him from 1826 a training in Italy. It must be remembered that in the time of classicism, the ancient joy, for a young artist Rome stay was simply the highest. There he met leading German romantics such as Koch, Schnorr von Carolsfeld and Overbeck. The latter prompted Führich to paint a Tasso room designed by Overbeck in the Villa Massimi, which became the main work of our artist in Italy, as the fresco cycle that emerged there is considered one of the highlights of Romantic painting. In 1829 he returned to Prague, was off 1834 Curator of the Academic Picture Gallery in Vienna and from 1840 Professor of History Painting at the Vienna Art Academy. Finally, three of his most famous works: - 14 Stations of the Cross in the John Nepomuk Church in Vienna (1844-46), - in the new building of the Altlerchenfelder Church, a romantic Gesamtkunstwerk, a cycle from the "First Day of Creation" to the "Last Judgment" ( from 1851) and finally the cycle "The Prodigal Son". An excerpt from the 2nd sheet entitled "The Prodigal Son of Seduction" (also called "The Wrong Friends") served as a template for our brand.
