Paul Klinger was born on June 14, 1907 under his real name Paul Klinksik in Essen. In the 1950s he was one of the most popular German film actors. His best-known films include "When the White Lilac Blooms Again," "The Flying Classroom" and the three-part "Immenhof" series. Between 1933 and 1968, he appeared in more than 70 feature films and TV productions, including in the ZDF crime series »Kommissar Brahm«. As one of the most busy voice actors in Germany, he lent his voice to 162 films by Hollywood stars such as Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable. Klinger, who had always campaigned for the promotion of socially disadvantaged artists, died on November 14, 1971 in Munich.
