A great performer of theater was Max Reinhardt, born on September 9, 1873 in Baden near Vienna. He was always on the move and testing, discovered the fascinating lights and punch lines for the present in the tried and tested classic, joined in on the new, the experimental of his time, was busy and restless in search of new actors. Like many celebrated actors, they proudly and emphatically declared that they had played with Reinhardt and discovered him. He always found new locations for his Theatrum Mundi: in front of the Salzburg Cathedral, in the circus, in the Olympic Hall in London or at the Campo San Trovaso in Venice. And he was already recognized by his contemporaries and honored like no one before and no one after him. It was three stations in which Max Reinhardt's work reached its peak: work on several stages in Berlin that spanned over three decades, then the foundation and fixation of the Salzburg Festival and the great era of Reinhardt at the Theater in der Josefstadt, where is still proud of this leadership time. Reinhardt died on October 31, 1943 in the arms of his wife, Helene Thimig, in New York. The brand image shows a portrait of the artist.
