Nietzsche found little recognition during his lifetime, he became the world's most widely read philosophical author after his death. His relentless criticism of Christianity and traditional Western thought in general fascinated young people, students, scholars and artists in particular. Friedrich Nietzsche died on August 25, 1900 in Weimar.
