With the waltz "On the beautiful blue Danube", Johann Strauss Sohn has made a monument to the torrent and legends of the river, captivating all the magic of Vienna, the graceful Austrian landscape and the warmth of the Viennese in tones. The Danube Waltz is the most precious jewel of the Waltz King's melodic richness, his most famous and first song-roll, which he composed for the Vienna Men's Song Society. He first performed in Carnival in 1867. At the premiere, he was not appreciated by the Viennese. At that time, Strauss counted 41 years, was happily married to the eight years older singer Jetty Treffz and lived in the immediate vicinity of the Danube, which was familiar to him from childhood. The idea for the basic theme of the Danube Waltz came to Johann Strauss overnight. With no paper at hand, he sketched the notes on a shirt cuff. Only his caring wife, Jetty, is thankful that the notes did not end up in the washing trough. The triumphal procession around the world occurred to the Donauwalzer from Paris. Strauss was there invited to the World Fair and played the spurned by the Viennese waltz. The French were thrilled, and from then on he became the "Viennese People's Anthem". The brand image shows a dancer in a ballet waltz typical dance position with a violin in the right hand.
