Karl-Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841) was commissioned to build the castle from the remains of an existing manor house and erected the architectural facilities in the garden. From 1826 to 1829, the castle was built at the summit of a curved main path that opens up the entire garden landscape, it is fixed on an east-west axis, the sunrise from east to east over the machine pond to sunset in the west behind the hippodrome the eternal Daily routine represents. Its interior is very simple and perfectly expresses the ideal everyday life and life cycle proposed for the residents. In the relationship to the free development of natural spaces at the Roman Baths with the Gardener's House, the system created from elements of landscape design, spatial planning, architecture and garden art appears as a model for the harmonious coexistence of the members of society in a changing world.
