Central Trade Fair of the Masters of Tomorrow, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues a multicolored postage stamp. Special cancellation from 19 October to 18 December 1982 XXV. Central Fair of the Masters of Tomorrow - 25 Years of Promotion of Young Creation 25 years have passed since the day when the call for the First Mass of the Masters of Tomorrow took place. Generations of students and apprentices, skilled workers and masters, engineers and scientists have written the history of the MMM movement. For some senior state and economic officials, inventors and activists of the competitive movement, it was a life school. Every year, hundreds of thousands of young people go and go through this school, approaching problems of science and technology, of large and complicated economic connections. In their work collectives, where older people pass on their life and work experiences, they grow into socialist personalities: open-minded towards the new, willing and able to do their part in realizing the economic strategy of the SED. The movement of the scientific-technical creativity of the youth opened possibilities of own development, mediated suggestions and experiences. If 312 collectives and 101 individual exhibitors from the clubs of young technicians presented their exhibits at the first trade fair, mostly teaching and visual aids for polytechnic education and vocational training, then five years later there were already 652 exhibitors with 425 improvements and innovations to increase labor productivity and to assert scientific-technical progress, the shift towards productive use. In the next few years, it was always possible to put the MMM movement on a mass basis, involving not only pupils and apprentices, but above all young workers, masters and engineers. Since the XII. MMM illustrate the young innovators and rationalizers their performance in the economies. To the XV. For the first time, the fair organized consultation points on key tasks of economic development. Renowned scientists and practitioners have been teaching since the XX. Fair in lecture centers their experiences to the youth. Thus, the MMM movement became the most important initiative of the Free German Youth. Almost 2.5 million young people tested their knowledge and skills in 1980 to increase their performance. For the XXIV. Central MMM with 2.222 exhibits an economic result of 72.9 million marks could be proven. The XXV. Central trade fair of the masters of tomorrow, which takes place from 8 to 19 November at the fairgrounds in Leipzig together with the VIII. Central Performance Show of students and young scientists, will be accountable for the contribution of youth to the implementation of the decisions of the X. Party Congress SED and the XI. Parliament of the FDJ take off. Exemplary achievements of FDJ collectives for the realization of the economic strategy are issued, the majority of which are economically viable.
