The history of the Thomanerchor Leipzig lasts almost 800 years. His main concern is the study of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, who himself was from 1723 to 1750 Thomaskantor. The choir of around 90 boys is known around the world. »Kruzianer« are the names of the choir singers of the likewise traditional Dresdner Kreuzchor. Already in 1300 a school was mentioned for the singers - a so-called alumnat. Today, the joint concerts of the Kruzians with the Dresden Philharmonic or the Saxon Staatskapelle from the cultural life of the Elbe metropolis have become indispensable. The Regensburger Domspatzen are the oldest boys choir in the world with over 1,000 years of history. Many concert tours around the globe brought him to world fame. His repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to contemporary music.
