The purpose of the annual issue of the Europa brand is to remind the public that the postal and telecommunications sectors, as well as all other sectors, are being effectively engaged in the integration of Europe. The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) has been working for 14 years and has passed its test in every respect. It is hard to imagine the concert of regional European organizations, whose common goal is a united Europe. In many cases, the solutions developed by the CEPT to international questions or regulations in the postal and telecommunications sector serve as a model for global action within the framework of the Universal Postal Union and the International Telecommunication Union. The CEPT today comprises all 26 countries in Europe, including Yugoslavia. Future-oriented planning and close cooperation on the numerous organizational and technical detail areas of the postal and telecommunications industry aim at the most uniform possible regulations of the member states. For example, the CEPT will, inter alia, develop guidelines for the co-operation of the various computer systems in use by the postal and telecommunications administrations.
