Born in Vienna on January 31, 1797, Schubert received the best music lessons at the Akademisches Gymnasium, which was then possible for a gifted child in Vienna. From 1818 he is a freelance composer and spends two summers as a music teacher of Count Esterhàzy. Schubert has composed house music since his youth. The central genre of Schubert's work is song composition. If one surveys the titles of his more than 600 songs, then apart from the wandering, the theme of loneliness, longing, love, grief and death predominates. But it conveys a false picture if Schubert's instrumental music were to be considered less important. A highlight of his typical symphonic style is the 8th Symphony in B minor, written in 1822, the so-called unfinished. Schubert, whose fame unfolded fully after his death, died on 19 November 1828 in Vienna. The brand image shows a portrait of Franz Schubert.
