The cultural history of Vienna proves that the city on the Danube has for centuries been home to all the arts and sciences, especially music. As a result, it cast a spell over all masters that "Vienna" and "music" became inseparable terms. A not inconsiderable part of the tradition, which so uniquely determines the essence and the becoming, is embodied by the Vienna Philharmonic. The idea to create an independent concert institution came into existence at the beginning of the 19th century. Wilhelm Furtwängler aptly characterized the special features of this year's 125-year-old institution: "With very few exceptions, their individual members are all real Viennese: this whole many-headed apparatus, this band of virtuosos Ranges are all sons of a single city, and there is not a second time in the world, and it is precisely this unity of composition - a representative of a whole landscape - that determines and forms the inherent features of the musical physiognomy of this orchestra for that peculiar fullness, roundness and homogeneity of the sound of our Viennese. " The brand image shows an organ in the background, in the foreground a violin, surrounded by a laurel branch.
