Born in Klagenfurt on June 3, 1894, after the death of Klimt and Schiele and the transfer of Kokoschka from Vienna to Dresden, Austrian artists led Austrian painting out of the stagnation of Austrian Expressionism. The template for the Boeckl special stamp 1994 "The Reclining Woman" is considered his main artistic work and was created in 1919.
