Josef Schrammel, who was born on 3 March 1852, together with his brother Hans and then-known guitarist Anton Strohmayer, formed a trio in 1878, which soon took a firm place in the Viennese music scene. A few years later, the clarinetist Georg Dänzer joined the "Original Schrammel Quartet" was born. With their genuine classical Viennese music they had great success everywhere. Also internationally her name was soon known. Her work includes around 200 works, including songs, marches, polkas and waltzes. The best known are, for example, "Weana Gmüat", "S heart of an authentic Weana" or "Vienna remains Vienna", to highlight only a few.
